We had our first run through this afternoon. We made it through. Made some valuable discoveries and the play had some lift; like a plane heading down the runway, gathering speed and beginning to rise up. Yes, there were some stumbles here and there, mostly from the enormous amount of activities that happen during the course of the play – transitions, moving paintings, mixing paints, etc., etc., but, but, but… it is definitely beginning to coalesce and gel. An exciting and satisfying day.
Tomorrow, we have a special guest, playwright John Logan is coming to rehearsal. We are not sure if he wants to see some working rehearsals or the afternoon run. Regardless, it’s an amazing opportunity to meet and talk about his play, ask questions, hear his thoughts and just hang out with an amazingly talented and successful artist. I am looking forward.
I have some pictures I wanted to share with you ranging from a little movie of my hair being buzzed, the view from the great apartment I have, some random shots of the photo shoot and rehearsal.
First the ritual buzzing of the hair:
A Gallery of Photos from the shoot, the view and rehearsals.
